We work with highly experienced local manufacturers and suppliers throughout the supply chain to ensure our products are of the highest quality, meeting and exceeding environmental standards.

Our warehouse is strategically located on the outskirts of Berlin, near our production and logistics partners and close to our key European markets.

We are committed to reducing unnecessary freight between production facilities and warehouses and where possible we will deliver direct from our manufacturers to the customer thereby reducing our product’s carbon footprint.

While designed to bring personality and character to any interior space our key products are all tested for extreme contract usage.

We pride ourselves on having one of the lowest claim rates in the industry, less than 1%. We strive for continuous improvement and our goal is that a used NORR11 product will become even more valuable than a new piece of furniture.

Solely water-based laquers are used for all wooden products. Using water-based lacquers instead of standard lacquers reduces the emission of harmful substances significantly, improving indoor and external climates while making for better working conditions in the production phase.

To minimise waste, we reuse shapes, moulds and reappropriate by-products of the production line when possible. For example, offcuts from some of our lounge chairs are used to form the armrests for dining chairs and leftover leathers are used for bar stool upholstery. All leftover wood that can’t be used for new production is used to heat the factories.

At NORR11, we believe the most sustainable product is a product that can withstand the test of time and to ensure the highest possible quality, products with our water-based lacquer has undergone several tests including scratch tests, lacquer strength tests as well as chip-tests. The result is that our water-based lacquer is more durable than the standard PU lacquer so your furniture will have a longer lifetime too.Changing to water-based lacquer is one of many important steps on our journey towards creating not only the classics of tomorrow but sustainable classics of tomorrow.

After many years of usage, or heavy usage in contract settings, upholstered furniture often happens to need a refresh. In order to minimise freight, waste, time and give a design a new life, we have developed a special feature for our upholstered dining chairs which allows the user to replace the upholstery with new upholstery pads.

The seat-pads are unmounted with 4 screws and the back-pads can simply slide off a simple and easy process. Replacement upholsteries are made-to-order and can be ordered directly through NORR11. This feature also allows the user to change the style and get a new updated colour, fabric or leather making the design sustainable and timeless.

All NORR11 furniture are produced using FSC-certified wood from sustainable forests. Doing so, we help making sure that no more trees are felled than the forest can reproduce and that local communities and forest workers are treated with respect.
