BERBER
Berber is a jacquard in jute, cotton and wool with an ethnic flavor. It recalls Moroccan handira wedding blankets made by Berber women, known for their geometric patterns and “fur” bands.
The construction is unusual and creates a distinctive irregular effect. The base of jute and cotton generates a subtle vibration, on which the wool elements stand out. The “fur” inserts are rich and textured, while the fabric remains lighter overall, since in the non-patterned areas the wool is cut and removed. Once brushed, the fibres gain relief, much like velvet.
